A College Girl's Guide to Free: August 2012

I've been getting a few questions about what sites I follow to earn freebies and products to test. I wanted to compile a list of all of the sites as well as a short description of them.

I've been on this site for quite some time and I love being able to test a lot of products for free in exchange for sharing my opinions on them with family and friends. They have a lot of opportunities to apply too that are updated regularly. They are from some of the most popular and newly-released products.
Some of the products I have tested so far have been: Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Insoles, Brew Over Ice, UNREAL Candy, and Glade Expressions.

CashCrate ★ ★

This is a newly joined site that I have not quite gotten the hang of yet. It seems like you have to do a lot of external offers in order to earn money, so if that is not your thing, I would not recommend this site. For those who don't mind, however, it's a great way to earn cash for filling out surveys or joining sponsored websites. Your credit card may be required for some offers.

Coupons ★ ★ ★ ★

For those interested in the current coupon craze, you can easily sign up and clip coupons to use at the local grocery stores you shop at on a weekly basis. There is even an option to add your savings cards. It is possible to save over $300 each week depending on the type of coupons you decide to clip and print. I highly recommend this site for people who are on a budget or have a large family as it will save you tons of money on the items you currently buy.

My favorite site on the list and the one that I have been a member of the longest is this featured one. I have been a member for almost 2 years and it is one that I check on a daily basis. Not only can you sample products, but you can also earn points which can be redeemed for several different gift cards. The great thing about this site is that when you sign-up you can choose a charity that you can donate some of your points to. It's great to give back to charities.
Some of the products I have tested so far have been: Hawaiian Tropic Shimmering Summer Skin Soiree, Listerine Total Care Zero Sampling Program, Verizon Crowdtap VIP Hosted Party, McCormick Grill Mates Grill Ambassadors Party, and a Totally Biased Premiere Party.

What I love about this site is that you can earn stickers for checking-in to your favorite tv shows, movies, books, and more. This is a great site for the younger kids in your life, or those who are young at heart. Once you reach your first 20 stickers, you are able to request them and have them mailed to your house. You can do this once a month and the site will automatically choose the next 20 stickers for you and send them to you upon request.

HouseParty ★ ★ ★ ★

Despite being a member of this site for a few months, I sadly have not been chosen to host a party yet. I am not losing faith though and that is why I have listed this as a featured site. You have the opportunity to host parties from some of the top brands in the world. You can increase your chances of being chosen by sharing/tweeting, starting a conversation, and/or recording a video.
Some of the current hosted parties are: NickMom Motherfunny House Party, Courvoisier Gold House Party of Style, Kleenex Hand Towels Holiday House Party, Foster Farms Always Natural Always Fresh House Party, and Battle of the Sexes House Party.

This is an awesome site if you do a lot of searches and surveys and can redeem them for a great, assortment of different prizes. There are also daily opportunities to look for Swag Codes that you can get for free. These help to reach your prize goals.

If you have some free time and don't mind a few emails per day, this is a great way to earn extra cash. You can redeem your Market Points for great rewards. Most of the surveys are interesting, and not too long.

InboxDollars ★ ★ ★

Similar to the previous site, you can join this site and fill out surveys in order to earn money. I'm not sure how long this offer will be available, but you can get a $5 sign-on bonus. Along with surveys, you can complete offers, games, searches, and tasks to earn extra money. Once you earn $30.00 you can request a check to be sent to you.

Jingit ★ ★

Have a smartphone? Then I recommend downloading this app. By watching videos and then answering corresponding questions, you can earn cash. There are not a lot of offers on the site as well, but the app has more. If you are interested, you can request a Jingit Visa Debit Card which can be loaded with the money you've earned through the site.

MomsMeet ★ ★ ★ ★

If you are a mom or have children living in your household, this is a great site to join. Tons of companies will send their products for free in exchange for sharing products and opinions with others; specifically other mothers and children.
Some of the products I have tested so far have been: Kashi's Chocolate Soft-Baked Squares, and Applegate Natural Deli Meats.

MySurvey ★ ★

Another great survey site is this one in which you can fill out several surveys. You start with the lifestyle surveys so the site will send you appropriate surveys for your household. There is also an opportunity to enter a monthly sweepstakes drawing with entries earned by taking surveys. You can spend your points on gift certificates and great prizes.

NickMom ★ ★ ★

This is a recently launched site that I just joined a few days ago. I found out about this through a contest that I ended up getting chosen for. The first 200 participants to earn at least 1,000 points got to host a NickMom House Party. They have several monthly contests that you can enter by earning points through sharing, tweeting, and commenting on the posts.

I have earned quite a lot of money from this site thus far. If you do not mind having emails sent to your inbox, then this is a great site to join. For filling out surveys, that usually do not take more than 15 minutes each, you can earn $3 that can either be sent to you in the form of a check or though Paypal. They recently launched the direct deposit option too.

Love music? Then you'll love this site. You can listen to upcoming or current songs and rate them while giving your opinion at the same time. You need to listen to a certain amount of time of the song before being able to rate it, however, once you do and if it is considered a great review, you'll get money. The more reviews you do, the higher pay rate you'll receive.

If you love filling out surveys and applying to offers to get products for free, this is a great site for you. It is not difficult to get started, and you'll usually get chosen for the offers pretty quickly after joining. All they ask is that you submit reviews and share the products with others.
Some of the products I have reviewed so far have been: 5-Hour Energy, Dailybreak, and Tony Robbins Ultimate Edge.
